Demand and Protest!

Some feel we have arrived at a constitutional crisis, others feel we are not quite there yet, but that it is imminent. Whether you’re on the side of Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. AOC or Sen. Chuck Schumer*, we MUST agree to disagree and no matter our position, we Democrats must stay united.

The only way to keep our Democratic grassroots unified and together is to keep protesting: Littleton, March 27, at the Social Security office; April 5 at the Littleton Post office; Plymouth, March 29, on the Green; Thursdays in Lebanon and Fridays in Hanover;  and an explosion of “HANDS OFF” protests around the county and the country on April 5th.  Protest the refusal of the NH House Criminal Justice Committee to compromise on a bail bill. Protest the NH Finance Committee cuts to our NH commissions and smaller agencies. Protest the elimination of the NH Vaccine Association.  And in Washington, protest the take over of the Institute of Peace and the illegal deportation flights to San Salvador. Protest the impending demise of our Social Security services and earned benefits, our Health and Human Services and our Department of Education. We need to stand together and say NO to Trump and his Republicans and demand more action from our Democratic leaders.

Our local town protests have become models for other towns and other counties. The grassroots energy we’ve seen around the county in response to Ayotte’s and Trump’s assaults on our government has been infectious. We must keep our protests local to give our communities a voice.  We can’t let up.
