It’s official!

Joe Biden won the New Hampshire 2024 FITN Primary without even being on the ballot. The numbers are still shifting, but according to WMUR, Biden won 63.61% of the Democratic votes, while over in GOP land, Trump only got 54.25%. President Joe Biden obtained more votes than any incumbent Democratic president in New Hampshire history. Below is President Biden’s thank-you tweet and some of the national headlines following the primary.

It’s a clear statement that Granite Staters are ready to defend democracy and fight for our freedoms! Thanks to each and every one of you who were part of this grassroots movement. Democratic engagement and momentum are building. Let’s keep it going.

How? Reach out to your regional chairs and offer your time and expertise. Help us find a candidate for every seat in every district. Get behind your legislators. Advocate for their bills on student rights, women’s rights, trans rights, voting rights, all of our rights!  Drown out the GOP disinformation; challenge it with Letters to the Editor, social media posts, canvassing and speaking out.

Let’s all step up our level of activism and change our State’s leadership in 2024.

It’s crunch time!

This Tuesday, January 23, is Democratic primary day in New Hampshire!

Don’t let anyone tell Granite Staters that our presidential primary doesn’t matter. This year, because the DNC shuffled the presidential primary calendar, Iowa had a hybrid in-person/mail-in ballot Democratic caucus and those results won’t be announced until Super Tuesday in March.

This means the first results from a caucus or a primary will be from New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation Democratic primary next Tuesday. All eyes are on us.

Twenty-one Democratic candidates have filed to be on the Democratic presidential primary ballot in New Hampshire. Joe Biden is not one of them; if you want to vote for him you need to write him in.

No matter which candidate you support, voting in the Democratic primary sends a strong message rejecting the MAGA extremism of the Republican Party.

Vote for the candidate of your choice but get out and vote. Your voice counts!

Bills, Bills and More Bills

In the NH legislature, from January to June, lawmakers present, debate and vote on bills. With so many House and Senate committees, we cannot possibly address all of the bills coming through. But we have a few suggestions.

If you want to follow a specific bill, watch the debates and then weigh in, read this article.

You can subscribe below to watch the meetings live on YouTube. It is an excellent way to get to know different legislators (and their positions on bills) on the various committees.

And finally, we have a few websites that you should consider signing up for to track bills. If there are other sites you follow, please let us know.
